Aims and scope

Journal of Counseling is an international refereed journal publishes quarterly online open access by KMF. The aim of the journal is to publish work that sets trends and provokes fresh thought and innovation in the practice and understanding of counselling, psychotherapy and career guidance. The journal seeks to communicate, enrich and advance theory, research, policy and practice in these fields. We welcome theoretical and empirical papers relating to the practice of counselling, psychotherapy and career services, and allied fields. Research papers may use quantitative, qualitative or mixed methods and may range in scope from large-scale surveys to individual case studies, with samples drawn from a broad variety of contexts. The journal publishes conceptual, practical, and research contributions that provide an international perspective on the following areas but not limited to:
 Theories and models of guidance and counselling;
 Counsellor education and supervision;
 State of the art reports on guidance and counselling in specific settings;
 Special populations;
 Special applications;
 Counselling services in developing countries.

KMF Publication Ethics Statement

Journal of Counseling is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics. KMF takes the responsibility to enforce a rigorous peer-review together with strict ethical policies and standards to ensure to add high quality scientific works to the field of scholarly publication. Unfortunately, cases of plagiarism, data falsification, inappropriate authorship credit, and the like, do arise. KMF takes such publishing ethics issues very seriously and our editors are trained to proceed in such cases with a zero tolerance policy. To verify the originality of content submitted to our journals, we use latest software to check submissions against previous publications.

Authors and publishers are encouraged to send review copies of their recent related books to the following address. Received books will be listed as Books Received within the journal’s News & Announcements section.
