Aims and scope

Journal of Cognitive and Social Psychology is an international refereed journal quarterly online open access by KMF that publishes contributions from all areas of cognitive psychology, focusing on sound and theory-driven studies that advance our understanding of cognitive mechanisms and processes. The journal is concerned with advances in the study of attention, memory, language processing, perception, problem solving, and thinking. It specializes in extensive articles that have a major impact on cognitive theory and provide new theoretical advances. The journal contributors include experimental cognitive psychologists and cognitive neuroscientists, working in areas as diverse as perception, attention, language processing, numerical cognition, action and motor control, spatial cognition, learning, memory, reasoning, and decision making. Occasionally, contributions are at the intersection of cognitive psychology and related disciplines such as social or clinical psychology; note that such contributions can only be considered if they have clear theoretical implications for cognitive processes. Research Areas include but not limited to:

 Linguistics
 Neurophysiology
 Social psychology

KMF Publication Ethics Statement

Journal of Cognitive and Social Psychology is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics. KMF takes the responsibility to enforce a rigorous peer-review together with strict ethical policies and standards to ensure to add high quality scientific works to the field of scholarly publication. Unfortunately, cases of plagiarism, data falsification, inappropriate authorship credit, and the like, do arise. KMF takes such publishing ethics issues very seriously and our editors are trained to proceed in such cases with a zero tolerance policy. To verify the originality of content submitted to our journals, we use latest software to check submissions against previous publications.
