Aims and scope
Journal of Geography and Nature is an international refereed, online open access journal of Geography and Nature publishes rigorous analytical papers, theoretical and empirical, which deal with physical process and spatial patterns at the earth’s surface, physio-geographical elements and their interaction, global change and its regional response, characters and management of natural resources, landscape ecology and environmental construction, remote sensing, geographic information system and their applications in geographical research. The scope of the Journal of Geography and Nature is to publish original and innovative papers that will substantially improve, in a theoretical, conceptual or empirical way the quality of research, learning, teaching and applying geography, as well as in promoting the significance of geography as a discipline. It furthers this aim by publishing original scholarship from around the world. Priority is given to methodological, comparative and theoretical advances. The journal also publishes occasional special issues. Its special thematic issues contribute to the confrontation of scholarly perspectives on overlooked problems – a must-read for faculty, doctoral and graduate students.
Subject Areas
Journal of Geography and Nature consistently covers a wide array of subject areas, including physical geography; human geography; spatial analysis, such as cartography, GIS, RS and GPS; geophysics, geochemistry, mineralogy, petrology, volcanology, sedimentology, paleontology, hydrology, glaciology, tectonics, geomorphology, environmental geology, engineering geology, geological hazards, atmospheric and marine science, planetary sciences. The Journal welcomes papers based on original research, critical policy debates and comparative analyses. Submissions and subscriptions are open to all.

Journal of Geography and Nature is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics. KMF takes the responsibility to enforce a rigorous peer-review together with strict ethical policies and standards to ensure to add high quality scientific works to the field of scholarly publication. Unfortunately, cases of plagiarism, data falsification, inappropriate authorship credit, and the like, do arise. KMF takes such publishing ethics issues very seriously and our editors are trained to proceed in such cases with a zero tolerance policy. To verify the originality of content submitted to our journals, we use latest software to check submissions against previous publications.
